In the heart of Athens, two historic buildings—a neoclassical structure from the 1920s in Kolonaki and a 1950s industrial building in Psiri—have been transformed into boutique hotels that redefine urban hospitality. The "House of Shila" concept, founded by Israeli entrepreneur Sai Andebi and Greek creative director Eftihia Stefanidi, blends art, architecture, and culture to offer guests an immersive experience. The Kolonaki location, "Shila," retains its classical charm with minimal intervention, while the Psiri hotel, "Mona," embraces its industrial roots, incorporating elements like mosaic floors and iron staircases. Both establishments function as dynamic art spaces, showcasing contemporary works that guests can purchase, blurring the lines between accommodation and cultural venue. This innovative approach reflects a new wave of cosmopolitanism in Athens, where tradition meets modernity in a harmonious blend.
