Stefanos Xenakis, the popular Greek author known for his inspirational self-help books like “The Gift”, was arrested in Voula due to outstanding convictions. These included charges related to issuing bad checks, unpaid employer contributions, and debts to the state. The combined prison sentences total 8 years and 11 months. His company, INKAM, had gone bankrupt in 2016, which contributed to his financial downfall. Despite his public image as a beacon of positivity and self-improvement, his arrest has exposed stark contradictions between his teachings and his personal conduct. Xenakis reportedly remains calm and is expected to share his side of the story soon.
